Overview
Loemu 0.3.1 Released on 22 Feb 2008.
Loemu is a free application that provides a simple front end for various game emulators.
Features:
- Game emulation with xmame, sdlmame, snes9x and zsnes is supported.
- Game browsing using dynamic list. This allows tracking in a parcial list generated with several categories.
- Fast game finding. Specific filtering tool speeds up the search.
- Game lists by played and favorite games.
- Localization support.
- Developed in PyGTK + Glade basis.
- Released under GNU General Public License.
Loemu's design allows the support of additional emulators just by adding specific emulator configuration files.
This project has also a sourceforge page with forum, mailing list and subversion repository.

Installation
Deb package
Download the deb package loemu_0.3.1_i386.deb and install it as root:
# dpkg -i loemu_0.3.1_i386.deb
Source tarball
Download the source tarball loemu-0.3.1.tar.gz, unpack it
anywhere you have write permissions and install it as root:
# tar -xvzf loemu-0.3.1.tar.gz
# cd loemu-0.3.1
# ./setup.py install
ToDo
Any improvement will be welcome. Here there are some ideas that can be done.
- Loemu logo. It would have to be an image and/or icon for default game image and desktop icon.
- Adding new emulators and adding user customization on existing emulators. The process is described here.
- Localization. Please send translations in utf-8 encoding.
